My mother moved in earlier this month. She was very reluctant to leave her home of 50 years. I’m amazed at the short amount of time it has taken for her to feel at home. She loves the food and and has really started participating in all the activities. The staff is so friendly and make sure that mom feels welcome and loved. She told me that she’s happier than she’s been since my dad passed away. The Hamilton has made the transition smooth and less scary than it could have been.

We highly recommend The Hamilton Assisted Living Community in Yorktown. This facility excels at everything on a checklist for assisted living: Professional and personalized nursing and care by experienced staff that cater to the needs of the individual resident; open and frequent communication with family members; engaging activities that encourage friendship and communication between residents and cover a full range of hobbies, cultural enrichment, holiday-themed events and just downright fun; Nutritional meals that can be tailored to the resident’s specific likes and dislikes; a clean, safe and comfortable facility with large rooms that can be personalized by each resident. We would like to express our profound gratitude to The Hamilton staff for the exceptional and loving care and kindness provided to my mother. Not only was she well taken care of, she enjoyed herself and all the activities scheduled (we even attended and enjoyed several events). The staff handled her end-of-life with compassion, honored her wishes, and provided us and other family members comfort during this difficult time.

I have been living here for a while now and I absolutely love it. Everyone here is very helpful. It feels like a big family. The activities person is always making sure we always entertained. The manager always takes care of our needs. This place is great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking.
